Moon Jellyfish

These poems are called Cinquains. Each cinquain has five lines. There are 2,4,6,8, and 2 syllables in each of those lines. They were written by year 6 children after visiting Underwater World.

Floating,

Gliding, drifting

The jellyfish glows bright

A creature of transparency,

See-through.

David Stanhope

Swaying,

Reflecting light,

Dancing in the water,

Transparent cold flesh quivering,

Swimming.

I see

A jellyfish

Through the clear looking glass

It has long floating eyelashes

Glowing.

Rebecca Stoddart

I saw

A moony glow

With quivers of veins as

The shock of the stingers die down;

Glides deep.

Kieron Barkworth

Floating

Swifting, glowing

bobbing through the blue sea,

Simple creatures drift side to side;

See through.

Amy Mann

I saw

Some jellyfish

Swimming along strangely

Drifting through clear water tank

Floating .

Drifting ,

Translucent fish

Quivering and bobbing

Transparent, eyelashes swaying,

Gliding.

Glowing,

In the moonlight

Swaying through the sea

Blowing like a sea blue balloon,

Bright veins.
